Details
This is a residential 3-wall mural located in Lancaster, Pa.
It is my second biggest mural commission to date, and the third mural in this client’s house.
It was painted over 14 days, in October-November 2024.
The mural tells the story of 11-year old Evan’s adventure to Alaska, from the departure at the airport, the airplane travel, and all the fun activities, such as dog sledding, helicopter rides, views of the awesome glacier, fishing, river rapids crossing, camping, relaxing in the hot tub, bear watching, and the final outstretched exhilaration scene.
Most of the scenes are set in a Polaroid picture frame, with a quote from Evan’s story to go along with it, thus giving the whole mural a cohesive look.
This mural took a couple of days longer than expected to complete, but it was a pleasure to paint and I’m truly grateful of the experience.
