“Sip & Pour” Fluid Art Workshops-every 2 weeks

By the end of the class, you’ll be relaxed and inspired to dive into the next chapter of your creative life with clarity, and you’ll have learned the steps you need to take to get there!
Laura will demonstrate 3 fluid art techniques, and afterward, you will choose your colors and create your masterpiece on a 12" x 16" canvas.
All materials that you need to create your artwork will be provided at the studio.

ABSTRACT Acrylic Painting- “The Shapes That Make Us”
This 8-week acrylic painting course is focused on shapes and colors.
We will be painting animals, including your personalized pet portrait!
Elevate your Fluid Art
Whether your acrylic pour looks beautiful on its own (or just mediocre), it has the potential to look outstanding, and indeed, intriguing!
Do you see a creature that wants to come out, if given some eyes and some highlights?
Do you want to add simple silhouettes to create a dreamy landscape against marbled skies?
Or maybe you want to add some simple decorations with the help of stencils.
All you need is imagination, and your canvas will tell you what would look best on it.
So come join us, for the first “Fluid Art Enhancing” workshop where we intentionally paint details onto our previous acrylic pours with acrylic paints and brushes!
Some experience in painting is beneficial, but not necessary.
Before you jump into your creation, you will see a brief demonstration on how to use the materials (stencils, etc) and how to help you see the hidden gems in your fluid art.
So mark your calendar for Friday, May 24 at 6:30 p.m., at Amanda Layre’s Fine Art Studio in Doylestown and share with your friends!
Paints, brushes, and stencils will be provided. Also, light refreshments. BYOB and your canvas.

Come to Amanda Layre’s Fine Art Studio for a fun acrylic painting workshop that features the crisp beauty of winter.
Over 2 and a half hours, we will create a simple and effective winter scene with acrylic paints.
All the materials to create the 11”/14” painting will be provided, just bring yourself and your favorite beverage. And maybe a friend.

In this 8-week acrylic painting course, you will learn to paint human construction and architecture with acrylics.

This is an easy-to-follow workshop that promises immense fun, as both parent and child get to identify and express their emotions through colors. Through hands-on play, you will be able to create paintings with fluid art techniques in colors that best represent YOU.
“Light and Shadow” Acrylic Painting Course
By the end of this course, you will have an understanding of the following concepts:
1. Create a value scale to get a visual of the depth that can be achieved by mixing black and white paint.
2. Sketch a sphere with a range of values to create volume and the look of roundness. It’s all about creating three-dimensionality on a flat surface..
3. Create value and depth in still life painting.
4. See objects as a breakdown of shapes that create a map. When shadow and light are applied to the shapes, your painting comes to life.
We will be painting “en grisaille” – entirely in values of gray or another neutral grayish color.
I encourage you to purchase your own materials. Here is a link to all the materials that you will be needing for this course.

Large, small, reflecting, waving, frozen, we will explore water in all of its beauty.

This is an easy-to-follow workshop that promises immense fun, as both parent and child get to identify and express their emotions through colors. Through hands-on play, you will be able to create paintings with acrylic pour techniques in colors that best represent YOU.
Laura will be demonstrating 3 fluid art techniques, and afterward, you and your child will create your masterpieces, on a 12"/16" canvas.
You will both learn how to mix the paints to the proper consistency, then you'll be entranced at how the paint morphs and changes as you tilt and move the canvas- as you each create a unique piece of artwork.
All materials for the workshop will be provided.
You will pick up your beautiful dry artwork after 5 days- it takes a couple of days for the paint to set.
Suitable for children aged 6 and above. No prior art experience required.
You have the option to only assist your child in his/her painting if you wish.
LIMITED SPOTS AVAILABLE.
This ticket includes all materials for 1 painting and light refreshments.
P.S. Come in clothes you don't mind getting paint on.

Fluid Art or acrylic pouring is one of the least judgmental forms of art, because it's all about the enjoyment of the process, and letting the Flow take you to surprising and exciting results.
There's no wrong way of doing it, just know that it's ok to let yourself be creative.
The Flow is a metaphor for life; relax and allow the Universe to surprise and delight you.
